DS Ustronie

Dormitory "Ustronie" is located in the Wola district, next to the Księcia Janusza metro station. The dormitory is quite small, there are 340 places to live. The dormitory has a patio with basketball and volleyball courts. It is open to residents and visitors every day from 6am to 10pm.

How to contact Dormitory Council of Residents (RM)? 

You can contact RM members by phone or by message on Facebook.

How does the process of moving in and moving out lookslike? 

Accommodation: The future resident must present himself with an identity document, after checking in, you can go to the warehouse and rent bed linen, a lamp, etc.
Moving out: When you move out, you have to account for the cleaning of your room to a member of the Residents' Council, to the storehouse and to the Residents' Council for borrowed items, and finally to the administration.

Kitchens’ description

There is a kitchen on each floor of the dormitory. Each kitchen has four hobs with 4 burners per hob. Additionally, there are two ovens.

Bathrooms’ description 

There are two co-ed bathrooms on each floor (four toilets and three urinals).
On the first and second floors there are also women's bathrooms with showers.
On the -1 floor there are bathrooms with showers for men and women.

Common Rooms 

TV room: located on the ground floor opposite the administration. The room can be used daily by prior arrangement with the room supervisors. The TV room is open to all residents. The room is used for students to watch movies or sports events. In the hall is a projector and there is internet access. The key can be handed over to the room manager, with the resident card deposited. The room manager: Michał Zbiciak, Julia Śliwa;

The Room for Silent Science: is located on the first floor of p. 124a and is open to all residents. The room is for students to study. Internet access is available in the hall. The hall is quiet and open 24 hours a day. The room manager: Aleksandra Ogonek, Patrycja Kawecka, Bartosz Bagiński

Trial and Error Room: located on floor -1. The Trial and Error Room is open from Monday to Friday from 2:00 p. m. to 10:00 p. m. and on weekends from 8:00 a. m. to 10:00 p. m. The sound chamber is intended for the rehearsals of instrument players. The key can be picked up at the concierge after you have passed the training and reservation. Gralnia: located on the 4th floor of the house 424a, there is a TV and two sofas, a room that is ideal for pilling, meeting with friends, playing games on the console, etc. The key can be borrowed from any room manager after the resident card has been deposited. Cycling: located on the ground floor opposite the stairs, you can leave the bike there for the duration of residence. It is necessary to register for the current cycling actions, upon receipt of the place a list is created and the key to the room is taken from the gatekeeper’s house. Gym: It is located on the ground floor next to the stairs, there are training equipment such as multi-gym, running crane and free weights (dumbbells, barbells, plates) and small equipment such as skipping ropes, rubber and balls. Admission is open to persons who have previously registered with the supervisors. After enrolment, people are given access and can enter the student ID. The room manager: Łukasz Baran

Parking: located in front of the dormitory. It is intended for people who want to park their car. Registration with a supervisor. Supervisor: Michał Zbiciak

Laundry and drying room 

The laundry room is located on floor -1, there are 3 washing machines and 1 dryer, laundry can be done for £5, payment by card or cash.

Information on recycling, waste disposal

The containers are located outside on the patio next to the basketball court.

What is best to take with you from home before your arrival? 

Kitchen equipment: dishes, cutlery, pots, kettle, etc.

What is not worth takingbecause it is provided by dormitory or Residents’ Council?

  • various types of sports equipment: balls, rackets, badminton rackets
  • bedding, pillow, blanket, pillowcases

Types and description of rooms 

All double rooms are separate (no segments). Standard equipment: two beds, two desks, two chairs, 2/3 wardrobes, a kitchenette with a fridge, sink and cabinets.

Infrastructure around the dormitory 

Nearby there are Żabka and Carrefour, there is a parcel locker next to the dormitory. About 5 minutes from the dormitory there is the Wola Park gallery. There is a church and a post office nearby etc.

How to report technical faults?

There is a fault book at the reception desk where you can enter broken things. They can also be reported directly to the conservators.

How to receive guests during the day and after 11 PM? 

From 7 am to 11 pm, guests can stay in the dormitory after showing their ID.
From 11 pm to 7 pm, guests may stay in the dormitory, when the resident brings a card for overnight stay signed by a member of the Residents Council to the reception.
