DS Pineska-Tulipan
"Pineska-Tulipan" is the dormitory mostly for the students of Chemical and Process Engineering Faculties. It’s located near Narutowicz Square. Our dormitory can accommodate around 300 residents. Playing urinals in Tulipan are a fun curiosity.

Check-in and check-out process:
Moving in: Go to the building’s administration to sign the card of equipment and protocol of handing over the room. After that you receive keys to your room, token card and resident’s card. If you need bedclothes go to the storage – it’s only open on certain hours, so it’s best to ask administration when to go.
Moving out: Get clearance slip from administration or reception. Return all borrowed equipment and clean your room carefully. Ask cleaning lady to check and sign the clearance slip. Then ask Mr. Janusz to check if all room’s equipment is fine and sign the clearing slip. Go to the administration with signed clearance slip to return key to the room.

Pineska:
At DS Pineska, the accommodation is arranged in segments, with each segment typically including two rooms – a twin room and a single room. The segments also feature kitchens and bathrooms. The rooms are equipped with a wardrobe, a bed, a desk, a chair, and storage units.
Tulipan:
At DS Tulipan, the accommodation is arranged in segments, with each segment typically including two rooms – a twin room and a single room. The segment has a fridge, sink, cabinets for storing kitchen items, a worktop, a coat rack, and a bathroom with a shower and a washbasin. The rooms are equipped with a wardrobe, bed, desk, chair and cupboard.
Kitchens' description:
Pineska:
At DS Pineska, the kitchens are located in the segments. They are equipped with a fridge, an oven, a sink, an electric cooker, a worktop, storage cupboards and a table.
Tulipan:
At DS Tulipan, there is one kitchen per floor, with 3 gas stoves, 4 rings each, and 1 oven.
Bathrooms' description:
Pineska:
The bathrooms are located in the segments. They are equipped with a shower, toilet, sink and storage cupboards.
Tulipan:
There is one women’s bathroom and one men’s bathroom per floor. Each has 2-bathroom cabins plus men’s has 2 urinals.
Showers are located in the segments.

DS Tulipan banquet hall:
It is located on the 3rd floor of Tulipan, with entrances from both sides of our hall of residence. It is a space designed for parties, social gatherings and birthday celebrations. The room is equipped with a sound system, party lighting, tables and chairs. It is designed to fit 30 people. Additionally, a ping-pong table can be set up in the room, and the room can be hired for this purpose.

DS Pineska banquet hall (P100):
It is located on the first floor of Pineska. It is a space designed for events, social gatherings and birthday parties. The room features a kitchen, a bathroom, tables and chairs. It can be used by up to 30 people.

Television room:
It is located on the second floor of Tulipan. This space is designed for social gatherings and watching television. The room is equipped with a projector, speakers, a DVB-T set-top box, tables, sofas and armchairs. In the TV room, you can cheer on your team together during matches, as well as take part in regular film nights. You can also connect your own computer to the TV or projector via an HDMI cable.

Biliard room (P300):
It is located on the 3rd floor of Pineska. It is a room designed for playing billiards. The room is equipped with a billiard table, cues, balls, chalk, a coffee table and sofas. You can play billiards and host social gatherings in the billiard room.

Gym:
The gym is located on the ground floor of Pineska, next to the staircase. The gym is equipped with basic equipment that allows you to train every part of your body, such as an adjustable bench and a flat bench, a pull-up bar, barbells, dumbbells and much more.
Any resident of our hall of residence who is on the list may use the gym. To be added to the list, please contact the gym supervisor from the Residents’ Council.
Once on the list, you can collect a key from the reception at any time by presenting your resident card and enjoy your workout.

Bicycle storage:
Keys are issued to those whose names appear on the bicycle storage room list, as provided by the supervisor. The bicycle storage room is located on the ground floor of the Tulipan block, at the northern end of the corridor. The room contains six hooks assigned individually to those on the list, as well as two hooks for long-term bicycle storage.

Parking:
Parking for residents is located in the courtyard, known as "Studnia". Usually, at the beginning of the academic year, there is a parking campaign. It is worth applying early, as the number of car spaces is limited. The fee is PLN 56 per month for a car and PLN 25 per month for a motorbike, paid only by card at the administration office.

Laundry and drying rooms:
Laundry rooms and drying rooms are located in the basements of Pineska and Tulipan.
Each laundry room has two washing machines and one electric dryer. Washing costs PLN 5–5.77, drying costs PLN 2–2.31 for 35 minutes or PLN 4–4.61 for 70 minutes. Payment can be made in cash or via online bank transfer.
The drying rooms are located next to the laundrettes. You must bring your own drying rack.

Pineska:
In Pineska, there are access points providing the pw.edu.pl and eduroam Wi-Fi networks.

The wired connection is not yet operational.
Tulipan:
Internet access in rooms is provided via a wired connection. You must have your own Ethernet cable. Connecting your own Wi-Fi access points is prohibited.
During check-in, collect a token from the administration, then, after connecting the device to the network, create an account on the website https://net.ds.pw.edu.pl and register the device. If you want to connect more devices, fill in the form on the website and contact the IT Centre.

Taking out the rubbish:
Sorted rubbish should be disposed of in the appropriate containers in the courtyard. Please do not leave your rubbish in the corridors, in the bathrooms or in the kitchens.
What is best to take with you from home before your arrival?
You’ll need to bring cooking equipment, a mop, an RJ45 cable for the internet, an iron, cleaning products and an electric kettle.
What is not worth taking, because it is provided by the dormitory or the Residents' Council?
The dorm provides bedding, vacuum cleaners, curtains and a lamp. From the Residents' Council, you can borrow tools, board games, guitars and keyboards.
Infrastructure around the dormitory
Near the dormitory, there are grocery stores: Biedronka, Top Market, Pharmacy, Pizzeria la finestra, Żabka, cafes, tram terminus, parcel locker, Veturilo station. Getting to the central campus takes 25 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by tram, to the southern campus takes 40 minutes on foot, 25-30 minutes by tram
How to report technical faults?
Technical faults can be reported at the reception via the notebook.
Rules for hosting guests:
Between 7 am and 11 pm, simply go down to the reception to collect your guest, show your resident card and enter their details in the visitors’ log.
To extend a guest’s stay overnight, you must obtain permission from the Residents’ Council in one of two ways. The first is to complete the form available at sspw.pl/noclegowki. Once the application has been approved by a member of the Residents’ Council, the guest must sign in the system. The information is then forwarded to the reception. The other method is to fill in a paper overnight stay form and obtain a signature from a member of the Residents’ Council. You must take the completed and signed form to the reception by 11 pm.
A guest may stay on the hall of residence premises for a maximum of 3 consecutive nights, or 5 nights in a month.
